What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

God is God

God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He exists in the persons of the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And He created humans to know Him and have a relationship with Him

Humans are sinful

We humans decided to do things our own way instead of the way God created us to do them. That is called sin, and our sin separates us from God.

God is both Just and Loving

God is JUST, so He must punish wrongdoing. He must punish sin. The only punishment for sin is death, which is eternal separation from God.

But God is also LOVING. So He made a way for us to avoid the punishment our sins earned while still allowing sin to be punished. He did this by sending Jesus to live a life without sin, and then die in our place so that we may have eternal life, which is eternal unification with God.

Humans must accept God

God gave us eternal life as a gift. In order to have it, we must accept it. We accept God’s gift by doing two things. First, we agree with God that we have sinned and that Christ has paid the price for our sins. Second, we put ourselves back under God's control and seek to live the way He intended us to. By doing those two things, we accept the gift of life that God has for us.
