The Big Idea: If the Holy Spirit Lives in You, fruit will grow.
Today and next week, we are going to learn how this fruit is produced and what it should taste like. Remember that Jesus chose us to bear fruit and the purpose of our lives is to express the character of Jesus. The fruit of the Holy Spirit is the expression of Jesus’ character.
Our Lord wants the world around us to be able to 'taste and see that the Lord is good'. What better way for them to taste the Lord than by sampling the fruit of the Holy Spirit in our lives. And what better way for us to 'taste the goodness of the Lord' than by sampling the fruit of the Holy Spirit in our own lives.
