Traveling on a “Spiritual Journey” is interesting to say the least. On a spiritual journey you will discover something known as the “wilderness experience.” What exactly is this? Has it happened or is it happening to you? The Bible frequently addresses this issue. Scripture often describes the experience of God’s presence or blessing with the imagery of water — streams, oases and rivers. God is close and comforting. On the other hand it describes times of distress, doubt, and alienation from God with the imagery of a desert or wilderness. The wilderness is where water is scarce… where a traveler walks alone in the heat and the cold without shade or protection. In a spiritual wilderness God feels far away, distant, absent, and unresponsive. However the assurance is that through it all He never left your side. These journey’s are fruitful to say the least. As we all travel these, “Spiritual Journey’s” God ask three responses from the one on the journey.

Assurance: Journey is in the Word
Assurance: Journey is in the Worship
Assurance: Journey is in the Witness
